broken nose

Ok its not that bad I hope
park the screw saturday after running around for awile jumped back in later to started the truck up and there was a rattle/grinding sound from under the hood (not to bad but I heard it right) so after looking feeling around it seems to be coming from the nose ..so it took the belt off and spun the drive by hand i dont think it felt right and it also looked as if the pully was wobbling a bit ....has anyone replaced there nose?? is it hard ?? what makes them fail .. what can i do to prevent this and finally is this common ..fyi its an allen kit

Not an expert or anything but maybe the belt was too tight and it was putting pressure on the input shaft. Did you have a new pulley any time soon?
