2001 5.4 liter supercharger HP increase???
My brother has a 2001 5.4 liter(260hp) extended cab short bed. 3.55 limited slip w/ an automatic.
He is interested in a Supercharger for the truck. What horsepower increase can he expect and what quarter mile times might he be pushing on a 9psi 3 core intercooler system...ATI I believe. Maybe CRASH can help me on this one.

with the 3 core intercooler, you would probably hit at least 10-11# boost on the stock 9# pulley. if you added a 12# pulley from mike, you would hit at least 12 and probably a little more. i think it'd be safe as long as you didnt abuse it. and yes it'd be very possbile to run in the 13's......there are a lot of us over at got-pressure.com in the 13's

i did run a 9.1 in the 1/8 mile BUT that was with a 2.3 60ft...i had an open differential so traction was very limited. Also, my tune wasn't right on mine...it was running rich as snot for the first second of WOT. With a good tune and traction, it probably would have ran 8.6-8.7 1/8 mile. This was also run in 75 degree weather so it wasn't cold by any means.
His will be heavier but it will still move on pretty well.

You were 12lbs of boost on the truck...right? Also, why would he be heavier?

I never did get it to a dyno but Mad was making 376 rwhp and he only had a 9# system with his "add-ons"...probably putting out closer to 12#'s. I was hitting 14#'s at times.
His truck would be heavier due to him having an extended cab. A good rule of thumb is that for every 100lb difference, that is a 1/10 difference in the 1/4 mile. Mine weighed in at 4450lbs.

So what you are saying is that for every 100 lbs. off is equal to a 1/10th off the 1/4 mile? Wow! My Kenne Belled 2001 4x4 Supercrew (5800 lbs.) did the 1/8th mile in 9.13 sec. @ 10 # boost. That would mean with your weight and my Kenne Bell setup I sould be sub 8 second 1/8 miles. Oh, and my 60' time - 1.97 seconds. ATI setup are nice systems, but with my heavy truck you can't beat a Kenne Bell setup!
