What a Difference a Year Makes!

Just wanted to share with you guys! It's been a year since I got my Roush F150 and it's gone through quite a few changes. Thanks to this forum for helping me decide which mods would make a great truck stand out even more. Made everything worth it to get nominated for TOTM which was totally unexpected.

When I bought it:

Yeah, couldn't find to many Roush 4x4's with superchargers at the time! I settled on this one because the owner offered it to us at a low price if we paid cash so we jumped on it. We did get my wife's Expedition 4wd so at least when I get stuck she can pull me out

Did they make a S/C 4x4 Roush?

Yes they did. A lot of them were labeled Roush 500RC Stage 3. I was looking for one of those when this one came up.

Really!! Crap. I saw a stage 1 Roush 4x4 by me and figured that's all they did with the 4x4s. If I woulda know that I woulda looked harder for one when I was looking for a new truck...

Yeah, actually I had the whole Saleen kit that I was going to put on. I was afraid to put it on because there were no replacement parts in case of a wreck. I ended up selling it to a guy that had a Saleen that was wrecked and he confirmed that he couldn't get those parts anymore from Saleen. Ended up buying the 3Dcarbon kit for 275.00 locally on Craigslist. Had the body shop chop the wheel flares at the bottom, paint, and install the kit. Worked out really well.

I've heard folks having a real tough time finding those parts, and then paying waaaay to much for them when they finally surfaced. One guy on here actually have two full sets in storage, just in case anything happened.

I honestly didn't even notice that the body kit wasn't a Saleen one, so I agree that it looks good. You have all the important portions from the Saleen. And that tailgate panel isn't something you needed cause your truck is black and it would've looked kinda out of place.

I thought about doing something back there. I have a lot of badges and they are just covering up dents. I was thinking of putting a stainless piece across like the Shelby GT150 concept. The front fender vents are just band-aids also. If you look close in the first picture, the previous owner stuck some 03 Harley badges on the fender. Unfortunately, he couldn't stick them flush under the badges so he screwed them into the fenders. Because of the position of the screw holes, nothing will fit flush there. I either have to get new fenders or patch up the holes. still thinking about it..

Really makes you wonder what's going on in some folks' heads when they think tackily adding 03 Harley badges to a Roush truck is a good idea, and actually drilling holes in the fenders no less. I'd just leave those fender grills and not mess with it.
