30 mph in 3rd @1000 rpm's. sluggish off the line, flat spot around 4000. shift points have been screwed no matter what I do with the Xcal II. Traction control still on and AF ratios way to fat. Other then that it's fine...lmao

So I loaded the tune about an hour ago. First impression *** Dyno says much better. Shift points and pressure are a weee bit high. Talked with Shawn and When I have more time I will adjust it with the hand held. I can say that the flat spot and hesitation is gone and the attitude is back. What I liked is that I called 10 his time and he answered the phone.... Not like troyer or Force Fed... they get to you when its convenient. I will play with a few adjustments this weekend and report back.

Glad it's better! That's almost crazy that he answered that late.

I finally got some time to drive the truck and worked with Shawn Ellis at SSI. Very nice guy and is passionate about what he does. We worked out some issues and 'Ol Nelly is running like a rapped ape once again. I can easily merge on to the freeway at 90 if I so choose. Clean positive shifts cruzin around town but when you put your foot to the fan belts She snaps to attention and gits to gittin without any hesitation and with authority. A Dakota SRT, Chevy SS, and G35 all found out that 'ol girl has some attitude and gitty up...lol Thanks Shawn!! Job well done!

I finally got time to finish up the lower valance. I used 3/16 x 1.5 aluminum and 3/4 x 3/16 and a ridiculously strong adhesive to glue it to the valance. I didn't want visible screws. I found an oem plastic air diverter to scoop up more air to cool the radiator tranny cooler and stuff. This valance opening is much bigger that any O.E. so it required some modification. I used a Heat gun to flatten out the bottum portion of the diverter and set a new bend to work with the modification. The pics should speak for themselves. I'm also waiting on some special COB led lights for a custom center console lighting project I saw Rockpick do a while back. I also need to figure the rear console but that one doesn't have the lip inside the front part.

As you can see, No visible screws. I drove around and just adding this reduced the radiator temps by 16.2 degrees. Now off to the next Mod...LOL

The new COB led lights came in and I got them installed. The switch is from Radio shack

http://www.radioshack.com/pushbutton...l#.VMGY-_54rYg

The COB led lights were from Ebay, they are about 1.5 inches long and 3/8 wide and very thin and have 3m double sided tape already installed on them.

My center console has a cig lighter so I spliced into those wires for constant power. I soldered and heat shrank all connections. The lights come on automatically when you open the console lid
and turn off when you close it. They are pretty bright and you can easily see what is in the cavernous Expedition wide body console at night or during the day with dark tinted windows.
From the top looking in you can't see any wires or the lights themselves.

I ordered the C notch kit yesterday. I'm getting tired of the bumpy ride. The roads in my town suck *****. I have about 1.5 inches of travel upward
and this kit will add 2.5 more which should smooth things out a ton. I'll take pics as I get it installed. I will be adding an extra 1/4 steel brace on the inside
of the frame with some stuff I have left over from another project.

I've been tied up doing a remodel on my daughters room so the notch is gonna be a few weeks out. I've been contemplating painting the upper and lower grills in a matte black. Any opinions would be greatly appreciated.

I appreciate all of your opinions. I started thinking about it more, I would have to do headlights and turns too. To much money to justify a color change up front. Hell, I still have a notch to do after the remodel. Needless to say I keep busy. Gotta help my older daughter and new son in law move too, and I'm sure there will be a remodel or two at their new place.. never ends..lol

Well it's been a while since I've been on here. Not to long ago I had a dead fuel pump so I replace it with a new Bosch 67135. fuel hat, sender a all in one unit which was a bitch cause this thing is pretty low to the ground. I figured while I was at it and all kinds of dirty already I would tackle the C-Notches. It wasn't as hard as I thought it would be and it sure made a difference on the driveability and softened the ride considerably.
I should of taken more pics but I did manage one with dirty hands.

Thanks. I'm still contemplating welding on it but for now the 1/2 inch hardware seems to be holding up.
