Need help lowering a 99 4x4

I need to know what components i need to lower a 99 f 150. I want to go down about 4 inches. I have been looking around for alot of kits but its all mainly 2wd stuff. Also what problems am i facing? (I still want to be able to clear 20 inchs rims)

yup, thats what i have been told to do. You should only have a 2 inch block in the rear, and trade the torsion bar keys with a simular year chevy silverado, apparently thats going to get you another inch. I am going to do it when i swap my 4.6 out and my 5.4 in, so ill try to keep this page posted.

that's how most are doing it, you can add rear lowering shackles but the front still stumps me

if you are talking about my green truck minimonstor17 is right and it's a pieced together lowering/handeling kit I picked out.

'01 Lightning front coil springs, '03 Lightning rear leafs (they have the same ride height as stock but I want to swap them for lincoln blackwood rear monoleafs) with beltech 2 inch lowering shackles.

it rides so much better than stock, it can still tow a trailer and pisses cars off on curvy roads

thanks people keep telling me to lower it more but it's too useable to lower anymore

go with removing the rear blocks with some rear drop shackles, find a rear sway bar and drop the front as suggested by Frod then you'll be close to what you want and the rear sway will increase your handling quite a bit

not yet but i did loosin my torsion bars (keys would not come out to trade with chevy) so i kept the stock ones, and yea it does lower it about 2 inches in the front. As far as the rear, take the blocks out and get shorter shocks, and bam you should be sitting about 3 inches lower since you say you have a 3 inch block...
