the shop that layed out my truck had to remove the front sway bar, no room. in the rear they put a bar from the axle to the frame to stablize it. i dont feel to much of a difference. but if you dont need to take it off, keep it.

when i did my 62 i left it off....it would pull if i hit a dip in the road that was not even...if it hit the drivers side it would pull that way...if the passenger side front hit a dip on uneven road it would pull that way, not crazy pulling but it was there...put it back on and it is straight and true now
When I was first bagged I took it off, but I ended up putting it back on. Therefore I will never lay frame because I wanted to only go as low that would not force me to loose the front swaybar.

also known as a panhard bar....it keeps the rear axl centered within the frame...keeps it from shifting from side to side when driving
ummm well one of you two are wrong, pretty sure its troberts, a sway bar is like a torsion bar to stop the truck from rolling (body roll), a panhard bar is a soild bar that locates the axle side to side
leaf spring suspension doesnt need a panhard bar which is not what we are talking about here
the sway bar the only reason to take it off is if you cant fit one there such as in bagged trucks

ok bro, just seemed like you were the one mistaking a sway bar for a panhard bar, since you were the only one talking about them. sorry i didnt reasearch the credibility of both of you guys before jumping to conclusions
i dont post as much as some, but when i do, i try to make my post as accurate and correct as possible...i dont want to be one to comment on everything like a manual150 or thumpmx150 with no knowledge of how i am guiding/or helping others....however when i make a post you can just about take it to the bank
