Air bags

I need a set of rear air bag helpers. I have a flip kit in the rear so what brand or kit do i need? Where did you get yours, and how do you like them? Thanks

Here is where I got the airbags, http://www.streetpros.com/product_in...ucts_id/31838/

Here is where I got the bag spacers, http://www.suspensionconnection.com/...con/30001.html

Keep in mind the airbags are designed by McGaughy's to be used with their drop leafs, if used with a flip kit there will be about a 3" space, that's why you have to use a spacer. The u-bolts that come with the airbag kit will be too short if you are using your overload spring in your leaf packs, I didn't feel like removing mine so I got longer u-bolts at the hardware store. You are also supposed to drill three holes in your frame for each upper airbag bracket, I just drilled the two horizontal ones and it has worked great, no problems.

I'm not sure about the load capacity of each bag but together at 100psi they will easily exceed the GVWR of a 2004 & up F150.

What size space would i need? I have a 5"drop with a flip. so my leaf is 1" higher than stock. If the bags are made with a 4" leaf drop then i need a 5" block. Is that correct.

I wasn't sure what spacer to use when I put mine together so I temporary installed the airbag with the upper bracket and laid the lower bracket on the leaf spring, then measured the space and 3" seemed the best choice and has worked out good. In the picture above I have about 20 psi of air in the bag, if I let the air out it will compress a little less than an inch, if I put 100 psi in it will lift the truck a little over 2". I have a Belltech flip kit that mounts the leaf right under the axle and lowers 6", a short lift shackle is supposed to bring you up to 5" of drop but I think I ended up around 5.5". When I keep about 15-20 psi in the bags it raises me up a 1/2-3/4" to a 5" drop. Anything more than 5" and you will banging those bump stops constantly.

I like those bags, I have a set. They're an easy install and some of the only ones that sit on the leaf springs. I heard that they support up to 2000 added lbs between the two of them. I'm getting a set of those spacers ASAP also

Those install over the axle so they wouldn't work with a flip kit.
