Confused on drop...

I'm really at a loss right now. I'm not sure what I want to do.

Can I get 5" of drop in the front and 6" in the back without doing some serious work?

I was thinking the 3" DJM arms and some 2" springs for the front. Follow up with a 5" flip kit and some 1-1.5" shackles.

How messed up will my pinion be? Will I need some serious shims to correct this or will the flip kit address the issues?

Well?

nevermind the pinion, you'll be scraping the gum from the streets with your frame with every pot hole and manhole cover you hit. the front will be way too low and will rub for sure. i don't even think you'd be able to get a proper alignment at that point without pie cutting the upper control arms. depending on your body, 3.5/5 or 4/5.5 should be your max with a static drop. anything lower you'll need to go with air. If you haul, anything more than a 5" drop in the rear (using a flip kit) you'll have to notch to get some more clearance.

Just get a 2" by 4" drop and be done with it.

That's the norm I suppose.

It looks killer with 22s but I really love my stock 20s. I can't find a 2/4 with them.

Do a 2/4 or 2/5 with a flip kit in the back. Trust me if you lower as much as you originally wanted you'd waste your front valence. With my 22's on (which with the tires are the same diameter as stock 18's or stock 20's) and my drop, my tires ride REALLY close to the body. I would think any lower and I'd be rubbing my tires on the body panels.
