Lowering Help. I know I Know Search.

Hey guys I been browsing thru the site for some time now and I cant find what Im looking for. I searched but I guess im no good at it? Anyways Im looking to get a 2" drop in the rear. With shackles. Eventually I will get some hangers and most likely springs in the front since I dont have +18 for some spindles. My question is with the 2" in the back will I need these shims I keep reading about? And would I need new drop shocks for the back? I know I would need them both for the shacks and hangers but will they be needed for just 2" to level? Another question is Ive seen some shackles on EBay for 50 bucks or so, but are they worth it? They never have a brand on them so Im iffy about them. I wouldnt mind spending a lil more to get better quality because after all its my daily driver. Wouldnt want it to break down on me . Anyways thank you guys for the help.

what year, cab configuration? I assume 2 wheel drive???

I used the belltech adjustables from summit racing for like $45 and then I used lightning springs in the front to make my truck level out,(a 1 and 2 drop)

then about a year later I added the lightning rear leafs and I still have a good ride and stance

that was on my '01 supercab 2 wheel drive

mechanically yes you will need the shims, some people dont install them and dont have any vibrations. But that will lead to premature Ujoint failures by not having you pinion angle correct

sorry for lack of info. I have a 03 Ext Cab. 2wd. I seen the ebay ones but Id rather get some w shims already. Can you point me in the right direction? Ill check summit our and I seen some other sites but just some of your experiances with places would help. I seen some members selling the shackles If I went that route where can I get the shims? And again would I need new shocks>? Thanks again.
