Please help!!!

Hey everyone,

Just purchased my first ford and im pretty excited about it. I got a 2005 F150 Lariat with the stock speakers and amp and sub underneath the rear seat. I have replaced the HU with a Blaupunkt San Antonio 640 and have the speakers to put in once we get some warmer weather.

ISSUE:
When i try and connect the amp/sub to the HU I get a consistent humming noise from the sub. I have read about getting a resistor for it but I just don't know if thats my issue or if its something else.

I have also heard the thump/thud when powering the sound off but what I'm describing is a continuous humming sound.

Any thoughts or ideas would be much appreciate.

P.S. Happy St. Pattys day, and as Kramer once said, "Here's to feeling good all the time"

What amplifier is it. Most of the time its a bad ground either amplifier or RCA
An other thing is power ran parallel with none shielded RCA's

Hello everyone. New to this forum. I have an 08 Screw, factory sub, Pioneer HU and out of the blue, I have this same problem. The sub hums all of the time. I had to unplug it to stop it. Is it the factory amp?
