2015 Front Door Speaker Plate

The 6x9's that come in the front doors of the new F-150 come on some wacky plate making them way over aftermarket speaker size. Has anyone found an adapter plate to run aftermarket 6x9's? Thanks!!

Have you considered making one yourself? Most people just make their adapter plates out of an old cutting board.

I changed out my speakers yesterday,plan on making your own adapters.
One note on your adapters,most 6x9's are deep,there isn't enough room from the inner door panel to window frame to allow for a flat adapter such as a cutting board.I used 3/4" OSB to make the adapter.
The Kappa's I installed put the premium in this so called premium system.

MDF or Plywood would be better than OSB. HDPE or ABS would be even better. If you use wood, make sure to coat them with plasticoat so they don't swell/rot/mold.
