Tweeters on the A-Pillar help / side or front?

Hey guys I'm getting ready to install my tweeters up on the door pillar. They will fit on the flat side facing the other side of the truck or I could put them in the flat spot facing down along my left side and at me right above the defrost ducks. I'm not sure what would sound better. Don't know if having them pointing straight at the driver and passenger above the defrost ducks would be better then them being on the flat sides pointing toward each other on opposite sides. Thanks a bunch for your help!
Scott

They should be lower. Mount them within 8-10 inches from the door speaker.

Both spots leave the speaker pointing incredibly off axis, so neither spot is ideal for staging and quality sound. Not to mention the path length difference is terrible. You want to mount them as on-axis as possible, maybe slighty off-axis on the driver's side since it is much closer to the listener. If you run passive crossover networks, you do want it to be relatively close to the midrange woofer, but this isn't totally possible in the F150 and will give you a very low stage with no depth at all. If you have active crossover networks, fiber-glassing them into the A-pillar as far forward as possible and nearly on-axis will give you the best stage depth and closer PLDs for less time delay.

If you have to choose between those 2 location, the green circle is better since the far tweeter will be more on-axis to the driver, but don't expect great stage presence.

I put mine where your green circle is. I think they sound great, but I have no technical expertise in this area.

In the 2011's, the theaters are are mounted on the A pillar basically directly behind where the door meets the frame.

Just do this. Cost me 14 bucks at Home Depot and only requires a 3/8 inch hole in the bottom of you a pillar rather than a large 1-2 inch hole in the a pillar or door panel.

Unless you have a DSP or way to time align the tweets, I'd keep them as close to the mids as possible.
