Looking For Comments on System Setup!

I am looking to put a new system in my truck. I have a 2006 crewcab. I wanted to get the following Head Unit and Pioneer recommends their stage 3 setup. Please let me know what you think. I dont know anything about audio, just that I want it to hit hard, clean and sound good. I dont want to build a box, and Im not sure about adjusting the rear seat height.

Head Unit - Pioneer - Z110BT
http://www.pioneerelectronics.com/PU...ms/AVIC-Z110BT

Front Speakers - Pioneer - TS-D1720C
http://www.pioneerelectronics.com/PU...neer/TS-D1720C

Rear Speakers - Pioneer - TS-D6802R
http://www.pioneerelectronics.com/PU...neer/TS-D6802R

Subwoofer - Pioneer - TS-W3002D4 (x2)
http://www.pioneerelectronics.com/PUSA/Products/CarAudioVideo/Subwoofers/Champion-Pro/TS-W3002D2%7CD4

Speaker Amp - Pioneer - GM-D9500F (x1)
http://www.pioneerelectronics.com/PU...ries/GM-D9500F

Subwoofer Amp - Pioneer - GM-D8500M (x2)
http://www.pioneerelectronics.com/PU...ries/GM-D8500M

I dont know if I should go with this box where I dont have to modify the seat height:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...m=360248221735
or this on where you have to modify the seat height:
http://www.supercrewsound.com/commer...d=123&catId=58

Also the box that requires seat modification costs about double because of the seat mod kit. How does this mod affect the overall look and experience for people sitting in the back seat.
A few people told me that I should have a cap as well for smoothness. Also I am guessing I should accomplish the BIG THREE mod. What about a second battery, any room in the engine bay. Anyone know anything about solar battery charging addons.
Any help or ideas would greatly be appreciated.

First, that sub absolutely, positively will NOT fit in either one of those boxes. The mounting depth of that sub is 7 1/2", while the mounting depth of box #1 is 4 3/4" and the supercrew sound box 6 7/8" with the extra spacer. No hope of getting those under that seat, maybe with a seat lift and custom built box, but I doubt it.

Second, if you got the 2ohm version of those subs, they would be thirsty for 2000 watts of RMS power as a pair. That amp would only put out 600 watts RMS, which is wayyyy too low of output for those subs. A general rule is to have an amp slightly overpowered for the subs you have it pushing (concept is called headroom), that way the subs always get what they ask for, they can sound very bad when underpowered and will get nowhere near their potential.

Thirdly, going with door speakers that powerful you will definitely want to amp them. The headunit will not be able to push them properly. I would suggest putting a 2-channel amp on the components up front and just letting the head unit worry about the rears.

The head unit is a good choice though!

The most glaring problem though is those subs. They are not gonna go up under your seat.

Go for the Premier TS-D720C components - same exact set, twice the warranty for the same price.

If you go for these http://www.pioneerelectronics.com/PU...008D2|D4?tab=B you'll have a lot more fitment options. You can check out foxacoustics.com and musicmooseaudio.com for some more options on boxes.

Those subs are my favorite subs ever! Handle plenty of power, loud as hell, sound decent, and all without having to donate your liver! Be careful of those though, like ChrisAU said, they won't fit in the boxes you linked, under the seats, and they are power thirsty!!!

What do you guys think about this sub setup. Will it be enough??

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...m=360252012425

I found this setup as well -

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/04-08...fAudioQ5fVideo

How do you think these setups compare to the above boxes with subs that will fit ( not the subs in the original post )

You could piece together either one of those setups for much much less. Case in point, the CVR setup:

Box - $97

Kenwood 8105-D Mono AMP (500 RMS) - $145

10" Kicker CVR 2-OHM Subs $65x2 - $130

Thats $372 plus a wiring kit that can be had for $25-$40. Spend another $55 and get the 9104-D amp from SonicElectronix and have 900W RMS.

Whatever you do, please don't drop $600 on that setup you listed haha

Anyone object to chrisAU's setup with the 9104-D AMP or have a better recommended setup?

I will also be getting the Z110Bt head unit. Should I leave the factory speakers alone for now or replace/amp them?

If you add the 9104-D amp, you have exactly what I have. Won't win any sound quality awards, but boy it gets loud and the chicks dig it! haha

Dont stress over sub amps. They are about least of your worries. Get a decent brand that gives does rated powed. One amp isnt going to sound much different going boom.
Make sure its a class D, takes a lot of power to go boom, so you want effeciency.

I cant say im a big fan of kicker, but some people like em and they are cheap. You could probably check Craigslist for a cheap sub. I know jacksonville CL is flooded with kicker stuff.

Id at least amp your stock speakers, if you like a lot of boom, your going to drown them out. Speaker amps are a little different story. I wouldnt buy speaker without hearing them or with many many good reviews on an audio forum.
