ok heres the deal. i am set on putin a 10'' l7 in my truck i just dont know how or where. ideas, comments, answers, and especially pics would be very helpful. tanks
i started off with a 12"l7 with the single seat folded up.then it started getting not loud enough. then i got a ported box for two of them and stacked it to the roof. it was alright... but then they just weren't loud anymore. so i decided to take the seats out and i have a 6cubic foot ported box with a 15l7 in it. im going to start building a box for another. but yea. kicker is the way to go man! port it too. L7's ported is the way to go. but watch it because they dont handle as much power when their ported.
if space is really a problem. get the low profile kicker cvx's or whatever. or even the pioneer ones are alright.
kickers are loud. but the SQ is crap.
but like fit4 said, after a little while, what you first thought was loud, is not gonna sound loud after a couple months. if you are looking for big bass (which i assume you are cause you are buying kicker) then go big. save up a little while longer, then get 2 12's or look at other SPL brands like Fi or Incriminator.
research it a little bit before you just jump into buying a name brand

I think I just died laughing from this post.
Many errors and they are FUNNY!
Kickers are the way to go...
Port it... Dear God. Try a trans line next time.
L7's ported are the way to go..... OH DEAR GOD.
Low profile CVX's... Ya mean the CVT's because the CVX's are EXTREMELY DEEP.
AND FOR MY FAVORITE YET:
Watch because they dont handle as much power ported....
__________________ SPL is one note... SQ is a flat 20-20.
If ported, always tune to CRF 33Hz... aka the Golden Number

I doubt you would even have to lift the seat to fit a 10" L7.
Under, or behind, the seat are the two most common places in a Screw. Do some searching and you are bound to come up with some pics of installs. Its nothing new, been done a thousand time, only you need a square hole

Yea i know about the errors. I'm 17 i get enough of that from my english teacher in essays i'm not worried about how i write on here. haha.
but yea. i went through 3 12's (blew all of them) because i was pushing them at 750watts. This was when i had jsut started getting into audio. I didn't know what the hell i was doing. Yea low profile whatevers. I've never touched them. I've only fooled with l7's. I jsut know the name had CV in it. Also i'm new to this forum and not one person can help me with me remote start/ alarm problems. what do u have to do for soem help around here?
he admitted he didn't know what the hell he was doing...

um, he's not criticizing your grammar, he's making fun of you for saying things like "a sub doesn't handle as much power if its in a ported box" and "Kicker is the way to go"
but as far as remote start/alarm problems? this is the audio/video section....
yea i didn't know what i was doing. And i see all of you all are in the same boat I was. If you have any experience with L7's and L5's you would too know that a 12" L7 can handle 600watts in a ported box or 750watts in a sealed box. L5's are the same way i jsut dont know the numbers with them.
Kicker is the way to go. i said that because i like it and in my opinion its a good choice.
see this is the first forum i've ever joined and its really not too much fun when all it is is a bunch of people telling you you dont know anything. instead. go get the facts and prove it before you say something and explain it rather than jsut throwing it in their face that they dont know anything. I'm not starting stuff. just simply sayin what i think.
and i know this is audio/video but i posted a thread in the security section and no one can help me.
