I've seen people using square tube and angle iron just making a basic lift big enough to put the seat bolts back in the floor and new bolts for the seats. But I think LMI makes seat lift kits for the older models trucks. I could be wrong too.

Sockets? Sounds like a waste of a good socket...and 3 bucks per socket. Instead of sockets it would be cheaper and probably stronger to get a length of tubing and cut multiple pieces to the lenght you need (2.5 inch, 3 inch, etc)
