First off, you need to set a budget for how much you want to spend on the sub, and how much for the amp. Then how much room you have; are you only going to be able to fit one 10 or what?

Then from there you can get a much better starting point.

Well I am not sure about the room I have.I can use all of under the seat if I need to.I just got everything instaled and it sounds great.I would like to try to keep it under 500.00..well under 500.00
What would be best for the kind of music I like? Two 8's or one 10?Thanks...Jack

Since it sounds like you just want some bass, check on ebay for pre made boxes, go to car electronics, subs and search for F150. I would recommend at least a 10.
You will prob want a 300 watt digital amp, @100 new on ebay. That small and you can get by on 8 ga wire.

Personally I am keeping one seat folded up and the small one down so 1 person can sit in the back, and I am installing a box 12x18x32 with a 12" in it, but it is removable.

For 500 you can get a premade box to go under the back seat, a nice pair of 10's, and a decent amp. A prefab box will cost you around 100+ bucks; if you have any carpentry skills I suggest you make your own box though. Its really pretty simple, and cost about $30 in materials. That will leave you quite a bit more for sub/s and an amp.

Are you looking for only a pair of 8's, or a single 10? If thats all, you can do pretty good with 500 bucks.
However, if your wanting more, and youve just heard people say something like "get 15's for rap, and 10's for rock"-thats B.S.-go with what you want/fits your needs/taste. Do you want just a nice little bit of bass that blends in perfect, or do you want to knock plates off peoples walls; or something in between?

I dont know where Im going with this, Ill chime back in tomorrow when Im sober
