I'm installing a line out converter and tapping into the rear speakers. Where is the best place to tap into them? Also, what colors are they?

I searched and searched and couldn't find the wiring diagram. I'm hoping Ford put it on the factory headunit.

 

Here ya go Gents,

Left Front (+) = Orange/Lt Green
Left Front (-) = Lt Blue/White
Right Front (+) = White/Lt Green
Right Front (-) = Dk Green/Orange
Left Rear (+) = Grey/Blue
Left Rear (-) = Tan/Yellow
Right Rear (+) = Orange/Red
Right Rear (-) = Brown/Pink

This is for the 04, I know ford changes them year by year

Do a search for "Speaker wire colors" and you should find what you're looking for. I did........

 

Thanks for the replies. Hey Rem let me know how it turns out. I plan on doing my next weekend. Please post some basic instructions if you can. I understand the converter part but do you just clamp on to one set of positive/negative wires leading from one speaker? Then the remote wire to fuse box, then power to battery etc etc. Thanks man. good luck.

 

Yep, this thread helped me out when I changed out the 4 speakers in the truck. The wire color codes helped me out tremendously and the transition went smoothly because
of this thread.
