Hi, I live in Windsor, Ontario and I cross the border everyday to go to school in Southfield, Michigan. This morning, I got pulled over at the U.S. customs for a regular inspection. I went inside to have my ID checked while the customs tore my truck apart looking for drugs again. When I came back out, I found that my subbox had been ripped of its carpet and split open. I was so pissed that I floored it out of there. I invested at least $150 into that box. So now i'm looking for new ideas for a subbox. Any ideas? I was thinking of a fiberglass box so that them idiots can hurt it. I have a 2001 F-150 regular cab with 2 12" rockfords so space behind the seat is limited.

Who did it, american or canadian customs? Either way It does not seem right they could do that without probable cause. I would at least try contacting them and asking for reimbursment. They cant destroy your property just because you are crossing the border.

 

Yeah, if they dont find anything I thought they had to pay you for it.

 

Dude, it's the government, they don't have to pay for anything unless they're forced to, and who is gona make them pay for it. You get my drift? It is a battle that probably won't be worth trying to fight. If you do try to get them to pay for it, good luck, i'm rootin' for you.

thats BS, they destroyed it they should pay. they didnt find anything did they? you didnt give them any reason to SUSPECT you were smugling contraband, right?
