Need help wiring my system. (KX120.2 to Audiobahn AW101T sub)

I've wired quite a few stereos, but for some reason my current setup is giving me fits.

I need help, BAD..

I need to know what the best way to wire this amp to sub would be.

I have a Kicker KX120.2 amplifier.

Specs here: http://store.epayright.com/epayright/kx120-2.html

and an Audiobahn AW101T 10" sub:

Specs here: http://www.audiooutfitter.com/store/aw101t.html

I had it wired parallel before and if I turned the receiver up very loud, the amp would shut off..

Then I wired it up bridged, and it will cut out when the car is at idle. As soon as I take off, the stereo will kick back on?

I believe the sub has a dual-voice coil, and I've never wired one up before, so I'm pretty lost about what to do.

THANKS A MILLION GUYS!!
Terry

It says(the amp) it'll handle a 4ohm load bridged... That's what I'd do. (L+, R-) ...

PS... This sub ISNT a DVC. Maybe that's why it shorts out your amp! ha ha ha.
(EXCURSION CAST FLAME BASKET ****SINGLE**** 4 OHM 450 WATTS RMS)

Another thing, the sub works when RPM's are up? Sounds like another problem... How big is your power wire?

I fixed the DVC short problem.. it doesn't cut out for that reason anymore. I can;t recall the gauge of the wire (I bought the amp wiring kit with the amp from the dealer)

Since I wired it up bridged, it cuts in and out at low rpm's sometime (not all the time)?

It's strange, that's why I am asking for help

Can you explain how to wire it bridged in a little more detail, so I make sure I get this right for once? I'd really appreciate it..

There are 8 wire terminals on the sub altogether.. 4 on each side..

I searched the internet for you> have you seen this before?

http://www.audiobahninc.com/tech/wir...ug_wiring.html

then

look at: 1. sub wiring.

It has pictures of how to wire the connections. That is what I would do.

So what's up with this model... It does look like a DVC, the manual states its not, the wiring diagrams have their own separate section for DVC's, anyway, the deeper I dig the more confusing it gets. I think it's time to bury my MECP!

Maybe someone else can help clarify things.

To answer your second post, YES, but bridge it at the amp( L+, R-). But if you really have 8 terminals, and if it's anything like the diagram I posted earlier.... I don't feel safe saying one or the other - w/o a ohmmeter!

*sigh*

*sigh* just trying to find out how to hook up a 10" sub & amplifier. I have a 1993 F150 Flareside Extra cab (not super cab) and I've upgraded to a nice panasonic stereo, 2 way pioneer 6x8's in back and sony 6 1/2's in front. None of these have significant bass so I want to add a 10" woofer with rampage amplifier (i know, cheap amplifier, but not looking for anything hella loud) I already have a 10" pioneer subwoofer. I cant find any info on how to hook this up.
