RF system on the way

Right now I have two JL 12in W/0s with JL amp. They are in my 99 F-150 extended cab. The subs are just on the seats right now. I have finally decided to just dump the rear seat and add 4 Rockford Fosgate 12in P2s. I am going to be powering them with a Rockford Fosgate T10001bd amp (hope thats enough). My question is, do you think I'll notice a major dim in lights and what not. Think alternator rewind is in order? Think a capacitor is needed? I'll have pics sometime next week. Thanks.

Our trucks have pretty strong electrical systems. If you do experience lights dimming, do what the big stereo guys do "The Big 3" upgrade. It consists of upgrading the following wires to larger ones (usually 4 gauge):

1) Battery negative to chassis
2) Alternator to battery positive
3) Chassis to engine

Forget caps. Do the big 3 first, then a stronger alternator.

I'll have to do the big three. I already have an Optima battery and I'll look into an alternator. Thanks.

I know what you said but I decided to get a cap for if I ever decide to upgrade more. I will be doing the big three soon and am looking into an alternator still.

Well, only had it for a few days but yes. Using a rap CD and without major tuning to bass it hit 144 bd at the local electronics store mic. I don't know if that is a new mic or not.
