Cool Rear seat lift kits to fit subs

Has anyone ever tried using a rear seat lift kit to fit amps and sub in the rear? Are there any drawbacks/benifits to using a lift kit? I was thining of getting the sub that takes up underneath the entire back seat and mounting the two amps on top. Any suggestions?

Almost everyone that has subs under their back seat has a lift. Its the only way to get enough space.

The only drawback is if the lift is over 3-4 inches the backseat is pretty much useless, unless you are hauling small children or midgets

What do you mean mounting the amps on top? On top of the sub box?

Where do you get a rear seat lift for a F150 Supercrew?

which is a harder hitting box

1. a single sub ported box

2. dual sub downfiring box

Im not sure where to get a lift, but I bet anything it would be cheaper to make one than buy one. Dont know how complicated it would be for a Screw. But for supercabs the cheapest I say a lift was 115 bucks, and you can make one for under 20 bucks.

As for what hits harder, Id say the double downfire. (if they are the same subs as the one in the ported)
In general, more cone area=more bass.
