problem with thunderforms

I bought the loaded thunderform box with 2 10" 4500's not too long ago. About 3 weeks ago the power output seemed to cut in half. Neither of the subs are blown and the amp settings are fine. any idea what it could be?

Troubleshoot... Check ALL connections.

Sub connection, amp connections, and if you have to... behind the head unit. Have you pulled the subs out of the box to check all the wiring in there?

Sometimes with preloaded subboxes, the seller doesn't clamp the connections tight enough onto the speakers. Just a thought. Hope you get it fixed.

Also, what size amp are you running and with what guage power wire? I haven't experienced a problem with any of my setups thus far, but a buddy told me that too small of a power wire can affect your amp's output.

Try switching the left and right RCA's while only plugging in one at a time. From here, you can tell which direction to start troubleshooting.

Losing 1/2 volume is typically a speaker or wiring problem. Amps basically work or don't work, not 50%.

How many channels is the amp, how many inputs do you have, how are the subs connected? Did this problem show up by itself or when it was being "worked on"

Frostby hit with the RCA's. If they weren't plugged in tight enough, one may have slipped off. Check both ends, and start with that.
