Offroading before hooters g2g

Is there still intrest in doing this on the 18th before the Hooters get together.

If so lets get some plans set. Im intrested in going, pretty much just as a recovery vehicle.

Im not familar with the area as good, so someone will have to set a meeting place and wheeling place.

Its a straight shot, take a right on Highway 98, go straight for about 20 minutes depends on how heavy your foot is. I cant make it, I gotta work till 4, but I will be at hooters at 5

Ok where is rancho? Sounds like here or so from reading descriptions and looking at Google maps. Sorry for being unfamiliar. A quick Google didn't reveal much on "rancho".

If you look at the map, you see rockridge on the right, that road meets in the middle of 98, you go past that for about 10 to 15 minutes

I'm down, I'm definitely going to need the recovery vehicle lol. My tires are about shot and have next to no tread on them, but that's not stopping me from getting the truck a little dirty. I'm not familiar with that area at all, so if everybody wanted to meet up somewhere where I can punch an address into the gps beforehand, that'd be cool.

At least you have real tires. I have some sweet hancrap OEM look-a-likes. So tiny too, 265/70-18. They just aren't cutting it.

guys not looking good for my truck for the offroading or G2G. Unless i can fix my steering knuckle before the meet.

i broke some welds (just driving no offroading or anything) and need a torch to properly weld them back. however i do not have a torch so this task would be kinda hard.

if anyone knows someone that can weld cast steel then send them my way. I dont have alot of money to spend so tryin to find someone that wont hose me. its only a few inches of welds needed.

really all i need is a brazing torch i have a welder. Need to get the cast RED hot so i can weld some copper rods to it... if anyone has a good brazing welder let me know maybe we can meet at my shop and knock it out before leaving.

even if i dont fix my truck i do have a spare vehicle so i will make it to the G2G at hooters
