Gas Mileage with 4.10's on 4.6 Screw

Went to the keys for the long weekend (Mile Marker 27 to be exact), I put gas Friday evening and left Saturday morning. 2 hour and 45 minute drive to get there and drove maybe 15 miles while in the keys. Drove back Monday (Labor Day) 3 hours and 45 minutes to get home. Had a little under half a tank when I got home. Drove it the rest of the week, finally the low fuel indicator came on while leaving work stopped to put gas 26 gallons to fill her up. Total miles driven on that tank of gas was 457.

This goes to prove that tall gears are not as bad as people think. By the way, I have 22" wheels with 32.8" tall tires, 4.10s and a 4.6L with the edge set on level 3 with custom tune.

Nice... The thing i like about driving to the keys is that you are forced to do a solid 45mph the whole way there so no speeding and that means lower rpm's the whole way. Not like driving to orlando where you have the chance to do 135mph uh i mean 75mph.

Thats about the same i did the last time i drove down there.

That's great! I'm gonna assume that your speedometer reads correctly because you have the Edge. MIA150 are your gears still humming?

Yes sir. I didn't have a chance over the weekend to torque down the pinion. I was a bit under the weather on Saturday and spent Sunday with the family. Yesterday after work was spent working on my brother in laws lightning. We added a fuel pressure gauge and a/f guage. Today after work I will try to get under the big girls a** and tighten the pinion. I will keep you posted when I do finish.
