You supply the boat and I'm in lol. Just so long as it doesn't interfere with Mudfest. Of course you'll be in Chicago then anyway.

My old man's in the process of getting a new boat so i doubt ill have it until a good long time, but i say regardless we can find a way to get some good fishing going. We used to have a 25ft Bayliner Trophy with a 225 outboard mercury, but we never used it so he sold it. He's kinda on his mid-life crises now so he's already got two nice cars and now he wants to get a boat again.

Yeah i didnt even know what mudfest was until you posted about it. If i was still here i would definately go with you. I think 5.4 would probably enjoy it too.

Lol that just reminded me of my rule regarding my single cab truck: the truck never contains more than 2 people, unless all the other occupants are female. But yeah, I'm definitely down to throw in for gas and whatnot. I haven't done a whole lot of ocean fishing, as none of my friends or family have boats. I pretty much stick to fresh water.

I just started this thread to see if anyone was interested, but i havent had a date set in mind or anything. I was hoping 5.4 Lariet would have jumped in already and said he's good to go which im sure he will be since he goes alot himself. I was thinking we could stay somewhere with the girls and all the boys get up and go fishing while they enjoy the beach. Im sure if i plan it with enough time i can get a good group of friends of mine with about 6 jet skis to go and maybe a boat too. If not we still got Jihtti's if anything

Hey Guys, I have a 20 ft'er I'll be willing to go anytime! For fishing I can accomodate 4 or 5 for crusing I can take 7 people . I used to have a 25 with twin 150's, but I sold it last yr cuz gas was killing me! So I got me a 2007 Sea Fox 197 with a 150 Merc, it flys! 62 MPH! So if evryone chips in with gas & bait, we can do some fishing! I have all the spots marked on ym GPS, or maybe jhitti can take his boat too & it can be a larger group. Let me know guys! R

^ speak of the devil !

Does anyone know when will be the best time for them to go? Should i look for a place we can stay or do you guys just want to go up early and come back late?

We have plenty of time and there's no rush, but i hope we can plan a good weekend and maybe catch us some dinner.

Seems like everyone I know around here is there or is in the process of heading down there. Jeez people it's only lobster I haven't been there in a long time. I wish I could do a road trip like that, since I got a boat to do it.

I'd rather do the 1 day thing so the wifey won't complain too much. My parents have a house in Marathon, & I know some AMAZING spots down there all are marked on my GPS. We can drop my boat in Marathon or at Sunshine Key. I'm leaving tonight to the keys to enjoy the last day of Mini Lobster season & get some traps set so when the regular season opens up.

Keep us posted, & as Cooperhead said we have plenty of time.

Hey buddy! It was great. We caught our limmit on all 3 times out.
We have PVC tubes down in the water marked out about 4 miles out & they get full of lobster! Lots of fun.. Surf & turf time!!

So yesterday im out on my lunch break and while talking on my cellphone i walked to the back of my office building and apparently the lake has some decent sized fish in it !

I think i may go pick up a pocket fisherman at Wal-Mart and get some practice in before we set a date to the Keys....
