Anyone Around Ft. Hood?

i will be there in mid sept with my truck and was wondering if anyone was around that area and if there was any places that i can take my truck to get dirty or go on some trails with thanks guys.

Well being in Killeen you will be between close to Austin, and more than likely there will be a whole bunch of other guys at the base or in the area that you can meet up with.

im at a TDY in Natick, Ma for a human research center but will be going to hood in mid sept then i think we are getting deployed in dec

that sucks man... i went through more or less same thing..went to hood for train up and then to ntc for a month, then to kuwait for a month, then FINALLY baghdad for 13 months...

what's your mos? fort hood... 11 series?

make sure you get an area permit first or else you'll get a game warden or worse a stuck up Da cop who couln't hack it in the army and got out as a 4 after 8 and now is taking it out on ever soldier he/she comes accross.

not married with any kids i was receiving around $1600 every 2 weeks. my rank was e-5 with 4 years in.....

you'll make bank..just hold on to it! they try to get you to spend money on anything...

scout? going to probably be doing patrols right? man, dig down and get ready for it... i patrolled daily, drove over 160,000 miles over there.... get ready for when you get back.

keep in your mind while your over there that when you leave the gates, it's like turning on a video game. when you get back to the gate, cut the game off. i've been home years man and my mind is still playing the game in everyday traffic. it's rough

yeah my rank right now is e-2 but should be getting promoted here shortly so while im over there maybe i hope i can get e-4 and get some better money so yeah i know man i hear its rough going over there than trying to adjust to back home
