Does the site seem any faster?

About 90 minutes ago I added another 1 GB of RAM to the server. We're now up to 3 GB. When we had 2 GB, we usually started maxing out real memory within about 45 minutes of rebooting the server. Right now, after 90 minutes, we are still using only about 70% of real memory and have not touched the disk swap. Please let me know how things are on your end. Thanks!

It seems like the site has been Superchipped.

I can feel it in the seat of my pants.

Hard to tell if it is any faster.
It loads pretty fast, no complaints.

But I am usually on when most of America is still lying on 2 ears.

About the same with periodic waiting for pages. Sometimes it feels blistering fast, others pokey. Just depends how many folks are hammering the site. I love the early morning surfin'... pages just snap right up on the screen.

It's really hard to say. . .about the time you added RAM our ISP began a promotion. They upgraded our service to some really big number for a month trying to get us to spend the extra $40 for the faster service. I like the speed with which I can surf these days but they don't know that in a month I'm closing my account and moving out of state! I'll get back to you when I'm back on grandma speed!!

Is the "Search" function not working correctly? No matter what I put in as a keyword, it says, "Sorry - no matches. Please try some different terms." And I KNOW that there are matches!!

As a result of the forum upgrade, I have to rebuild the search index. I anticipate this process will be complete by about 2:00 am ET.

Considering the load that the search engine rebuild is putting on the server, the performance is excellent!

I think I have also fixed the classifieds and galleries login problems. Now I have to figure out to automatically log people into the classifieds if they are "cookied" by the forums. I think that is a Saturday thing...
