When I got it in the mail,It did not come wityh instructions.I noticed that it came with 1 side with paper stuck to it.Im assuming there are parts inside that must stay put right?? How do i install it.Ive never touched a tranny befroe and am scred.The pully was a piece of cake So could someone tell me kinda quick step by step and if my tranny is gonna fall apart when i do this,I dont know where things go inside?

 

Ray, it's pretty simple. The paper is just special stuff to stop the steel parts from rusting. Nothing will fall out of it. All you do is remove your pan, remove the filter, unbolt the stock accumulator valve body (use the new one to tell which one is the right one) and then bolt the new one in. The only thing you need to know, is to just make sure all the bolts go in the same place, and when you are ready to tighten it, the bolts get torqued to 80-100 inch pounds. Your pan gasket is reusable. Hope this helps. If you get in a jamb, give me a call at home.

Its a complete valve body and its around $200
Ill tell you my opinion on it this week.Im planning on a tuesday install

when removing tranny pan leave 1 bolt in
back 1 in front when taking that last
front bolt out slowly pull on front of pan
to drain then remove back bolt

put down tarp if you do the above you won't
get a bath

did ya get new tranny pan with drain plug
i believe Sal sells them with filter
no more tranny fluid baths

also, if you replace the filter ,dont forget to make sure the orange grommett dosnt stay up in the pump body.if you install the new filter w/two grommetts,it will crack the filter .if it sticks up in the bore,gently pry it out w/a screwdriver being sure not to gouge the aluminum bore.if you are reusing the filter just leave it there and insert the filter back in the old grommett

 

Just as a precaution, when you remove the pan, don't try to "explore" any of the other parts or valve bodies, there's more than a few check *****, TV springs etc... that can fall out, and it's a real mess to put back together even if you do know where they all came from (I do it with the tranny upside down, it's so much easier that way). If you do drop one, or forget a bolt when you put it back together, the transmission will be VERY ERRATIC when you drive it.
