A lot of that probably depends on how mechanically inclined you are, and what tools you have. If you can not do the work yourself, then you may want to consider someone like ROUSH who does the job turnkey --- with a warranty. It may cost more in the short run, but save you a bundle in the long run.

hey Ivanhoe_farms im an aircraft mechanic and am pretty good with my hands with plenty of tools but i dont want to spend a fortune to lower my truck.How much is the roush kit compared to other kits??

 

The Roush setup is the most expensive out there, about $1500 I believe. I have heard very good things about the Bell-Tech 3/4 kit. Very reasonable. Around $600 with shocks from what I hear.

i helped a friend lower his 00 2/2 but with different springs and hangers instead of shackles this could easily be a 3/4 lower. here is the my step by step, yours may be different.

I did the BellTech 3/4 kit with the BellTech nitro-active shocks. I bought the kit here through Roger on the online store. Just e-mail him and tell him what you want. He sold a few of us our kits. There is some pics in my zing album of the kit and my truck before and after. Bill
