Post For those of you with Billet Grills

Is it just me, or does anyone notice a whistle-like sound coming from the billet grills from 40-60 mph.?

It started when I installed them.

If I have to remove those *********** to find out, I'm gonna be upset.

Then the guys at the dealership saw my Street Scene front grill and lower piece the first thing out of his mouth was does it whistle and I told me it didn't and he told me about all the trouble they had finding it on the truck with Billit Grills.

Question

Super Chicken - What is your grill made out of and did you install it yourself?

TBL - How do you like your grill? Would you do it again if you had to? I was looking at stock install tonight trying to decide if it is worth messing with this mod.

The Grill is made from Alum. and it is coated so it won't tarnish or change color it can also be painted or powder coated. I installed the top (harder one) the bottom one was done by Street Scene because they used my truck for the pattern. Also my truck will be used for there boxes and catalogs.

Super Chicken - Can you post or email me a phone number and contact or a page link. And if you don't mind, how much can I expect this to set me back?

Well I raced a 99 C5 Vette with billet grilles on the Bolt. No whistle just sounded like a departing Jumbo 747. I have to brag on this one, because I didn't face the agony of defeat like he did. Great loser BTW.

Tampa Bay,
Yes, it's the grille.
It was the first thing I noticed when I took
out the truck on the road. A very faint whistling, not bad but a little annoying.
I am also installing the Street Scene
Grilles this weekend, had those on order for
almost 2 months and they finally came in.
I will try to have a friend post pics
either tomorrow or on Sunday so everyone can
see what they look like.
Rob
