Post How much is your L lowered?

A few of you have posted that your trucks are lowered w/ various kits. How much lower is your truck than stock and what kit did you use? Im not looking to spend $1500 from Roush so, if anyone has other ideas w/o sacrificing much ride quality please give suggestions. Thanks!

Question

I have a similar need to retain both towing capacity as well as front clearance (I scrape getting into my driveway as-is). I saw that the so-cal kit included new rear spring hangers. Does anyone know if the spring hangers could be used alone to level the truck out a bit by lowering the back 1/2 inch maybe?

Cool

Measurements on the Roush kit are; 6 1/2" from lowest part of the front air dam to pavement. Rear measurement is 14" from underside of the bumper (dead center) to pavement. What are the corresponding stock numbers?

Mine is 8.25"at the lowest point of the air dam and 16.75"at the underside of the rear bumper dead center.

Besides spring hangers you have to worry about shock extensions and sway link bars. I kept the stock springs for the rear of my truck and dropped it 3.5". I still haul heavy cargo w/no problems. In your case you are talking about a custom job, like mine, expect to spend a lot of money for that .5".
