The three places I know of so far: Roush, So-Cal Speed Shop (mostly Eibach parts), and a company called "Ground Force" (or something like that) makes the least expensive kit for around $600 including springs and nitrogen shocks. The other two are around $1200-1500 but I have a feeling they will give better performance.

My 2 cents worth!
As was mentioned you can go with Roush,Eibach or Ground Force. I have and still do use items from all three sources. I really do like the Roush setup for the Lightning and I would think that "sixpipes" would agree. If you would want to keep the price down try the Roush without the Bilstein shocks. That is the route that I went and the handling is as different as night and day. At a later point you can always swap out the shocks. If you want to check out the Roush springs you can go to my web site http://mikesmotorsport.virtualave.net

How much does the Roush kit lower the Lightnig? I know its a considerable amount w/ a standard F150, but what about the Lightnings? Thanks

Are the 2000's any different and it would be interesting to determine how the ride is effected compared to the increase in handling. Also what happens to the load capacity of the vehicle?

Thumbs up

I called Roush last month and was quoted
~$1600 for springs, shocks, leafs and labor.
My brother's girlfriend has a Roush F-150, and the handling is amazing. It really can out corner a M5.

This is a good shot of the Roush lowering kit results. Notice the clearance on the front and back wheelwells. You can forget about hauling much of a payload if you go this route.

sixpipes,

Very nice pic of the truck. The lowering kit combines w/the hood make for a very aggressive stance/look.

I like!

Hey 6
can you still haul the valky w/the roush kit.
i love the look, but since mine is a company truck, i still need to be able to put 500lbs in the back. i'm putting 1000lbs back there now.

Cool

BBQ

Payload is greatly reduced with the Roush drop. I think 500 pounds might be pushing it, but I am really pleased with the increased cornering ability (see the MPEG on Nathan's web page). How does the Ditkamobile handle a 1/2 ton?

As long as you drive it like an f-150 instead of an "L", it gets the job done, unlike a certain "former super bowl winning coach, who shall remain nameless"
