trans fault on, od light flashing, need help please

2007 f150 xlt 2wd w/ 4r75e.
OD light flashing, Trans fault light message, whining and slight raddle noise inside trans, rpms go up and down when driving, doesn't seem to go above 3rd gear, feels like parking brake on when in reverse. any help would be appreciated.
I should also add I had a complete rebuild done on my trans about 2yrs ago (40,000 miles) from amco transmissions which is now out of warranty.

Go see Dr Bendova....

Irrelevant, a transmission can fail on the drive home from having it rebuilt.

from amco transmissions which is now out of warranty.
That bites. Tough luck.....

Take it to a shop that can read transmission codes.

As I mentioned in your other thread, that sounds like early warning signs of gearset failure.

Thanks Darrin I've read some of your post in the trans forums for others and you seem very knowledgeable. I have found a 4r75w trans used that came out of 2004 crown vic interceptor that is reasonably priced. I was wondering if that would work in my truck straight swap? that's the best option I have found so far seeing as I don't have another $2600 to spend on a complete rebuild again. Thanks again

So I took got the codes read and they didn't give me the actual codes just what they meant.
1 means gear ratio error code, the other 1-2 shift solenoid. They said found the sound of it they think the planetary is going out. I barely got the truck home.

That 04 transmission out of a police car has a tailshaft and extension housing that are an inch longer than yours. You need to have the driveshaft shortened to use it.

Doesn't know if it's a 4R75E but sent a picture of the tag on it. can anyone tell if it is a 4R75E by this tag?
