Cranking time Exceeded

Cranking time Exceeded
Was particularly cold this morning, -35F, 2016 2.7 Ecoboost with 6000 miles on it wouldn't start (plugged in).
Cranked a few times, got to the time-out limiter with the "exceeded cranking time" message.
Put battery charger on it, left it plugged in.
Got home from work 10 hours later, and still has "exceeded cranking time" message and won't even try to turn over.
Any ideas? I know it's under warranty, but it's a long way to tow to the dealership, and hoped to find a way to reset the message while in the driveway.
Thanks

Figured it out, disconnected battery for 10+ mins, then started using 225A Boost from battery charger.
Not really happy that the Ford PCM didn't reset as designed, and such a small motor with such a big battery had problems like this in the cold.
My brother bought my old '98 4.6L F-150 and lives a couple miles away... it started fine.
