2018 f-150

Not sure if it's posted somewhere else, but pretty substantial updates. 3.3V6 Replacing current 3.5, 3.0 Diesel, Revised 2.7, Revised 5.0 Looks like 10speed auto across the board except base V6

I like that they put the grille back down into the bumper like they did way back in 1999. Overall I like the grilles better, except for maybe the painted Lariat one as it looks a little too GMish with their current trucks where it seems every one is painted. I hate the current 15-17' chrome 10 bar and while the painted sport 10 bar looks Okay, I replaced mine with a grey Lariat take off. I could care less about the 3.0 Diesel, but it is about time they finally did it. Just hoping the new 2.7 jumps by 2mpg or so with the revisions and 10spd transmission.

.

I hear you stuck screw, plus I have no money lol. 2018 will be the year though. So I've got to start asking a bunch of pro/con questions about the diesel.

Anyway heres a video, the guy is a goof ball but the vid has good info (you'll have to copy and paste cause I don't know how to do add the link)

Why do they keep making the base V6 smaller??? Do they want no one but fleet operators and government to buy it?

Also, curious to know what changes to the 5.0 other than 10 speed tranny.

EPA/CAFE would be my guess. Combined with overall all N/A engines are making more power than 5 or 10 years ago, so they can "get away with" smaller displacements, while still making adequate power.

The 3.3 is going to have the same HP and torque as the 3.5 because it's direct injected, and also will get better gas mileage.

-----3.5L

Oh 3.5? Which one?
------uh the V6?

Is it EcoBoost?
----- uhhh I think so?
