2014 trans

So, coming home the other day stuck behind slow people. Got the chance to pass so I floored it and..........down****ded with a loud puslonic noise from trans. Second time I've heard it. Was at or around 40mph. Trans temp was 160. Would love any feedback on this. Checked dtc's and nothing pending. Could not duplicate after said incident.

Thanks
Roy

Did you check trans codes, or just generic OBD2 PCM codes?

Ooooh hahahaha GLC....good one. 😂😐

more or less cavitation. When I floored it there was a audible sound from trans that sounded as if you had air in the line or a bad power steering pump. Not necessarily The whine from the pump but lack of pressure.

Bluetooth or handheld? If it's Bluetooth there's apps that will read the trans and body module codes.

After doing some YouTube research it has a downshift squawk, will be taking it to dealer for tsb. It's too bad that they are going to just add a additive and call it a day.

Hello RSTHD150,

My name is Tricia, and I’m one of the U.S. Ford Customer Service Representatives on this forum. You’re heading in the right direction by taking your vehicle to a Ford Dealer to get diagnosed! You can schedule an appointment online, here. Be sure to keep us posted on your dealer visit.

Lastly, what’s the mileage on your vehicle?

Tricia

25756. The noise only happened once, I cannot duplicate it. What stinks is the only fix is a "friction modifier" for the transmission.

I am am taking my truck to them for other reasons and will schedule at a later date.

Thanks for the reply, RSTHD150.

Let us know when you take your truck to the dealer, and keep us posted on the outcome.

Have a great weekend, and Happy Holidays!

Tricia
