Passenger Mirror Moves like Crazy - 2013 Platinum

hey guys. Have a 2013 f-150 platinum and I have noticed that when I unlock the doors the passenger power mirror moves like crazy (up, over, down, over, up, etc) in a square pattern. It does this quickly for about 30 seconds. Not sure if it does it every time I unlock but it does it a lot. Besides being annoying, I'm worried it will cause damage to my mirrors.

Please help!

It sounds like your memory settings, which can be linked to an individual key, are playing tricks.
Have you owned since new?

Does the mirror return to the same spot after the process, or do you have to then adjust it once you're in the truck?

I ask because if it's set to a previous memory setting, then you could simply save your own settings by following the directions outlined in the manual. Setting them to recognize a certain key is a bit more tedious than just holding down the memory buttons on the side of the seat.

Hey redfarmer84 and Doc47,

Have you all checked in with your dealerships about this? I can see how it can be both annoying and concerning. Let me know the current mileage on your trucks; I'll see how I can best assist.

Hey guys,

I recommend bringing your vehicle to your local Ford Dealers and get them diagnosed first. With the diagnosis, your dealer can look up any TSBs, recalls, or customer satisfaction programs that may apply to your vehicle. Also, be sure to speak with the service manager, as he is in the best position to ensure a proper diagnosis, and will be able to provide available options and/or coverage for any work needed.

Also, remember repairs done at a Ford Dealer come with a 24 months/unlimited miles warranty. You can schedule an appointment online here.

I took it to the dealer today. They said it was ok ? For me to use the procedure in the owners manual [Which I had tried serval times before to try to make it stop moving when I use the remote] Again it didn't work. What to do?
