97 f150 it starts won't ideal and dies

Imagine that?
The old Mule refuse to go to work for you.
Not enough to run with but here is a possibility.
The IAC bleed hole may be blocked.
You can't clean it because it's inside the round metal shell on the IAC.
If the problem shows up like the following, change the IAC.
It starts the dies without touching the gas pedal.
Why is because the IAC cannot be controlled by the computer to control idle either cold or hot starts.
Or the IAC is stuck closed from the last time the motor was up to temperature.
Remember, just a possibility without more info.

Thinks for the info I will try ,, it will start but like I said as soon as I give it gas it dies I put a new fuel filter new coil pack new plugs new wires,,,, I was driving it and it started to backfire and pop and sputter and then quit running and now it will start it won't idle but as soon as I give it gas to stay keep it running it dies

Why did you not say this in the first post?
Now you need to look at the possibility of lost fuel or engine functions.
Check fuel pressure as the first thing to check.
If ok then for engine function such as spark.
If no spark look at the crank sensor plug for coming loose etc.
You have to be reasonable and help yourself out and not expect accurate diagnostics using a crystal ball approach.
Good luck.
