OEM or Aftermarket tow mirrors??

Ive been kicking around the idea of adding tow mirrors to my truck. I get online and see OEM's going for around $400 then see aftermarket going for less than $150. Is there really that big of a difference in the products? Anyone added the aftermarkets have any input? Is the quality any less than OEM?

I bought my aftermarket pair for $120. I've had them for going on 3 years now, out in the Vegas desert heat and no issues whatsoever. Great quality, and sturdy as s***! I've accidentally popped them on stupid ATM drive-thru poles and no scuffs or damage at all. They're very much up to par with the OEM standards. I love mine. Only thing I would've changed would've been buying them sooner! I'd absolutely recommend the aftermarket pair to anyone. Good luck with your decision!

I got aftermarket. Similar price as noted. I will admit that on the highway they do shake a little. Not sure how the OEM ones compare in that sense. But other than that they seem great. Can't tell they aren't OEM. But the shaking bugs me a little.

Do they come with a heated option as well?
I think I would miss my power fold on my factory small mirrors though.

I can't comment on the F150 aftermarket tow mirrors but where I work we have a Dodge with aftermarket tow mirrors. If you're going over 50mph you can't see anything out of them because they're shaking so much. It drives me crazy.

If I were to get tow mirrors, or even replacement mirrors, I'd get factory. IMO it's worth it.

Hey now, some of us have to live on the more slim side and settle for what works!
I do agree though that buying factory parts is the best way to go overall though.
