Stained chrome clad wheels easy fix

So I picked up a set of take offs of the 6 spoke xlt 2013-2014 chrome clad wheels.
To take the brake dust off the back, I sprayed scrubbing bubbles heavy duty and scrubbed with a thick bristled brush.
For the front I used Eagle One A to Z wheel cleaner (safe for all finishes) and after they dried I noticed that brake dust, water spots, and various other crap was still left behind.
I researched how to get this off and was overwhelmed with how crazy everyone got with it. I decided before I bought anything to break out my mother's mag and chrome polish.
Needless to say.... it worked like a charm! These things look brand new now.

I think so. With that mother's stuff, if it doesn't, the oxidation turns black. REALLY BLACK. I know this first hand bc the wheels I took off were Weld Racing uncoated aluminum and the upkeep is ridiculous.

*update*

Just washed the truck today and water spots didn't even get baked in when the wheels were in the sun. Wiped them right off and still looks like I just polished them. Didn't have to use detailing spray or anything on them.
