Normal for A/C to not blow cold at idle?
Only had this F150 for a few days, but the A/C won't blow cold at idle, no matter what setting I have it on. Granted it's miserably hot and humid here right now, but once underway it blows really cold. But sitting, it won't blow cold air. Just curious because my previous vehicles never did this to this extreme.

Low refrigerant. Needs a recharge. Go to local automotive and buy kit. Shake well, connect hose to truck, turn upside down and squeeze trigger. There is a dial you need to set for ambient temp. That will give you your pressure range.

I have an 06 FX4 5.4 and I have the same problem...I have had the fan clutch replaced and that fixed it for a little while but on those really hot muggy days here in Tennessee if I am idling it wont blow cold system is supposed to blow 30 -40 degrees colder than ambient.... per the manual ...I am considering an aftermarket ac system I am sure its really $$...maybe a new serpentine belt?
