Bumper mounted receiver hitch advice

I have a stock 2012 F150 Supercab 4x4 STX. I am thinking about installing a bumper mounted receiver hitch and I am looking for some advice. I don't need to hall anything heavy. The hitch will probably be used mostly for a receiver hitch mounted bike rack. I'm thinking this type of hitch may be cheaper and I could probably do the install myself. I surfed a few websites and can't seem to find where any say they fit any particular model/year. Has anyone installed this type of hitch? I appreciate any advice.
Thanks.

You need a bike rack for a 2" receiver.

I suggest you get one like glc recommends. It isn't that expensive and will be there for anything you may want to tow in the future.

Are you talking about one of those clamp on bumper hitches? My advice is that modern bumpers are much too flimsy to mount a trailer hitch on! Especially anything that is big enough or heavy enough to need a receiver hitch. As GLC said, get a frame mounted hitch. For $121 it's not worth wasting your time, (or the possible liability if something goes wrong) with a jury rigged bumper hitch.

Not even $121 - the Hidden Hitch is $96.95. If you spend a bit more for the Draw-Tite ($103.95) you get free shipping. Installation video is on the site, no drilling or welding required, free email and phone tech support.
