O2 Sensor Bank1 Sensor1

My check engine light came on. A buddy at work had a code reader. I get P-0133 Oxygen Sensor slow circuit response. Which one is the Bank 1 sensor 1?

Thanks,
Craig

pass side closest to the exhaust manifold. If it is a 4.2, it will be bolted to the manifold.

Yeah - sensor 1 is in front of the catalyst (closer to engine), as to which side (bank), I'm not sure.

Craig I believe bank 1 is the passenger side. The kid at Autozone told me the opposite. My reading had 2 bad sensors in bank 2. I changed both on the passener side. CEL came on again I went Autozone got the same reading bank 2. I just changed the 2 on the drivers side, now everthing is happy. The truck runs like brand new.

Anyone have the part number for the pre-cat O2 sensor for an '01 5.4? I would like to replace both and have the new ones in hand before removing the old ones. No codes yet, but I do have about 124K on my 150 and I have never changed any of the sensors. Thanks,

Bank 1 sensor 1 is the upstream sensor (before cat and closer to motor) and is common to fail due to the heat from that side of the motor (passenger side). Just replaced my warped exhaust manifold a now got the code for the sensor.

Why did you feel it was necessary to bump a thread that has been dead for over eleven years?

Who cares buddy it's a forum. Throwing my .02 on a topic that still occurs today. You need a tissue or what?

Your input is a lot more valuable and much more appreciated in a current thread that is still unsolved.

Don't care too much for this topic, but when I see a bully trying to cram their bull**** down someone's throat, I gotta say something... Anyway, problem solved for an 04', but not sure for the 01'. However, I bet it's the same as an 04', which would be:

Upstream (Banks 1 & 2/Front)

Downstream (Banks 3 & 4/Rear)
