Romans Chapter 3 verse 4
4: Not at all! Let God be true, and every man a liar. As it is written:
"So that you may be proved right when you speak
and prevail when you judge

Wrong again , that's from one of them " New Age so-called bibles " that you
got from the bible of the month club. If it's true scripture , it's ONLY
the King James Bible ... It's not a version , it's the only inspired bible
for the english speaking. Preserved by God ( Psalm 12 ) ... It's the only bible that I can print without paying somebody. That's proof of
being preserved by God !

Tell ya what, Tighty Whitey. Since you've proved me right, I'll prove you right. I don't give a crap what you're peddling, I don't want it. It has nothing to do with the message and everything to do with the messenger. If what you have is The Divine Message, then I'd just as soon rot in Hell.

There, now you can feel all full of righteous indignation because this heathen won't heed the word of God as prescribed by the Mighty Tighty Whitey.

MW every time you post, you show a true lack of understanding The Word. The King James Bible is probably the 13th translation (check history) if I remeber correctly.
Most versions are acceptable when used with a concordance, so that the original language used is properly translated.

My opinion is that you are not a Christian, but someone who is trying their best to make Christians look foolish and ignorant. You do not represent a true believer of Jesus Christ

I recall someone famous from Texas once declaring that if King James English was good enough for Jesus, than it was good enough for him.

Ok Mighty, question for you if you're calm enough to post anything but drive-by's.

What manuscripts was the KJV translated from? How many translaters worked on it? How long did it take? Was King James a believer? And finally, how many verses did they overlook, and forget to copy?

Test next week.

Mighty, if you think you want to respond to this, I think you've picked the wrong person to tangle with on the subject. 1969Mach, If you have some links on the subject, I would love to see them. If you don't want to post them here (no hints for the quiz), feel free to email them. I know you don't list your email here, so there will be no response and I'll forget your address

I will give the answers either when Mr. Whitey responds CALMLY, or in a couple days.

When I get home tonight, I'll post a link to a very good website for those who are really interested. There is also a book out called " The King James Controversy ", and it's a long, well balanced study on the process of how the King James Version came to be.

Let me also state that while I believe the KJV is a VERY good and faithful translation, it is not as accurate as say an NASB.

Hey Mighty!!!!

Since you will not dialogue calmly on a public board, I am asking that you contact me via email. I feel we should be able to have a calm conversation with flaming and namecalling. If you are able to do so, please use the email option for contacting me. If it doesn't work, then I will post my email address for you. Just ask.

I now return you to the topic at hand. Sorry for the highjacking.

Nope , those perverted versions came from Westcott and Hort. Two
reprobates that brought doubt on the 1611 KJB. You still can't answer
why it's the only one that anybody can print without worrying
about Zondervon taking you to court.

I've read the last chapter , I'm on the winning side.

Let me also state that while I believe the KJV is a VERY good and faithful translation, it is not as accurate as say an NASB.
Read Gail Riplinger's book " New Age Versions " NIV , NASB , Living , RSV
all came from HELL and aint worth the paper they're printed on.

Put that in your pipe and smoke it ... Laodicean Liberal !
