The line mod valve increases line pressure in the trans, for firmer shifts. They install by removing the trans pan, then the accumulator valve body. remove a spring clip to access the valve. Mine goes in this weekend! Lloyd

John893,

If you do buy one and deceide to install it yourself I would suggest you go to somebodies elses home and use their garage or driveway. That way when you dump 5 quarts of trans oil when you remove the pan it doesn't make a mess in your driveway or garage.

It pays to have a friend with a trans shop! He gets the mess not me. Hopefully My JDM pulley will be in by then, & we can install both at the same time. Lloyd

I did my JDM line mod valve this past Sat. Just like LSchicago said, I would only add pulling out the filter. It just pulls right out. I think it was 8mm bolts with a couple 10mm nuts. It was real easy and it shifts alot harder. I had my JDM chip burnt with this mod, so I think you need to get your chip burnt for it.

I sell a kit that is a remanned accumulator with upgraded shift springs and line modulator plunger valve. No guess work on dropping the wrong body, losing case *****, tv ball and spring etc..., for a few dollars more I include the deep plugged pan and a new filter, the pan and filter are Genuine Ford Parts, the springs Tricumulator and the modulator is a Sonnax Valve. Whole thing goes for $100 for the accumulator ($75 exchange on the core) and $50 extra for the pan and filter. The pan and filter alone will run you over $70 at your local Ford Dealer, so I think it's a great buy, myself.
