properly tuned air/fuel gauge or tans temp?

Post properly tuned air/fuel gauge or tans temp?

I can't descide which one to get, please help!

I would get a air fuel before the trans temp.

whats more important?

damn my trans tempature is hot!!!

oh chit I'm burning the electrodes off my plugs and detonating the hell out of my motor!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think you get the point, HAHAHAHA. sorry I justs makes it more fun.

I have heard mixed reports on automotive air fuel gauges. Just how accurate and how reliable are they. I have a difficult time believing a $100 gauge is going to work like a $10,000 diagnostic tool.

I would do an air/fuel, tranny temp and fuel pressure if they were accurate.

I am not trying to come off like a know-it-all, but these little A/F meters that use the factory O2 sensors for their pickup will not help you tune the motor.

Trust me, a factory O2 sensor is designed to be accurate ~14.7:1. Once you get much above or below that, they are useless. Whether it reads .78v or .90v makes no difference b/c each O2 sensor will be different.

They look cool, and can verify two things: 1) proper O2 function (they should switch from rich to lean ... above and below .50v... under cruise conditions) and 2) that you are indeed below 14.7:1 at full throttle. It should _always_ go above .50v at full throttle. However, whether its 13:1 or 10:1 you cannot tell.

Not trying to rain on a parade here, but I am trying to give informative data. I've been working with this stuff in hi-po late model Fords for almost a decade.

The only A/F gauge/meter that works is one that utilizes a wide-band O2 sensor.

Hey did you find a EGT tempature senor yet.

thats the way to go for the air/fuel.

Yup I found one, I just need to find a better deal on getting all my gauges and pod at the same time. Oh by the way what tempature did you say I should be reading?
