Talking Pro-M dyno results

Pull with Airaid, PSP chip, and no muffler
355rwhp & 428rwt * About what I thought it would be, maby a little higher.

Pull with Pro-M,PSP chip "no adjustments" and no muffler
367rwhp & 436.8rwt * I am happy with that.

Did make one pull in between these with a stock fuel setting, Pro-M and no muffler but gained only 1hp and 3ftlbs. Put it back to the way Sal had it set and got the better results, so I left it there. I will try to scan and post the printout tonight.

I think my numbers are about average but I am still pleased. Any comments?

Cool

Caka,

I’ll have to agree with you on your numbers. Mine were almost identical.

My application was with the Pro-M Mass Air & Swanson Performance Chip and my dyno pulls were 368.1 H.P.

Seems to be pretty much the same!

Spiro99SVT, since you seem to have at least one of the top 3 (non- NOS) running trucks, I have a couple of questions.

What are your dyno numbers?
Why dont you have headers, any reasons?
What intake do you have? (I think downs)
Do you feel the 3.73 gears are just as good or better than the 4.10s? ( I plan on 3.73)

My next step is the 3.73 gears by the way. As much as I want the Level-10 shift kit and tq. convertor, I am scarred that my trans. will not hold up for 100,000mi and I dont want to void the warr. After the gears its the exhaust, but I am waiting on some solid numbers with long tubes before I do it. Thanks for the input Spiro, keep running strong!!

CAKA,

I am assuming your second pull with pro-M and chip "no adjustments" meant that the chip was not programmed for the addition of the Pro-M correct? If so it will be interesting to see if a chip adjusted for the Pro-M specs will produce even better results.

Noel, the adjustment for the Pro-M was made, which is the "stock" fuel setting. Thats the only adjustment for the Pro-M that H.P. does, but it only got me 1rwhp. The guy at H.P. said that no Pro-Ms are alike and you can play with the fuel settings and trial and error type stuff for tuning. So we went back to the origional PSP setting just to try it and it worked great with my unit, this could very with another though. I figured 367rwhp was about the number I was looking for so we left it as is. Sal may adjust somethig else but I think the fuel setting is all thats needed on most applications.

Spiro99SVT, you mentioned that your truck is one of the top 3 non-NOS running trucks. What modifications have you made to achieve such impressive performance?I would be very happy if you could let me know, thanks. I know this is an old discussion but the answer to my question is very important I am appealing to the admin. Please approve my post, Thanks
