Hey Spiro,

Was it a simple bolt in or did you have to modify anything to get that pan in?

Thanks

Spiro, Glad to see your truck is running so good. I asked Sal for a chip just like yours!
Is/has the overboost thing tied to transmission temps?
I thought you R/T was good as heavy as you were. Wish I could have been there

99 SVT Bolt,
The pan is a direct replacement for the stocker. No provision for a fitting,it could be easily added if needed.

Jim,
wish you were there, all the L's were running great in the 90+ temp. You will love the program that I ran the 12's with. As you know Sal is the Lightning Tuner. Considering the weight of the truck, it ROCKS!!

Spiro99SVT:
How much $$$$???? Does Ford have anything to say about the warranty if you change out the pan?? It sounds very promising on the reliabilty issue and could just give you the edge on those steamy days.

Later,
Terry

Thumbs up NEW!! Trans-pan

This weekend at the Mod shoot-out I had a chance to speak with Performance Automatic about their new E4OD tranmission pan.The unit is actually a much better design than the B&M, it holds 5 quarts over stock. The pan is aluminim, ribbed for extra cooling, and a drain plug. I was surprised that after purchasing one, They even supplied the kit with complete new hardware(allen bolts) a trans pan gasket and even the 4x4 filter.I was also told that they will help the transmission run 25 degrees cooler. This is not a plug for Performance Automatic. I am only letting everyone know what I discovered. If anyone is interested contact me...Spiro99SVT@aol.com.I would be happy to give you a contact name and number.

Terry,
I cant see why FORD would have a problem with upgrading the transmission pan. If your interested e-mail me.

To all the others that responded, you wont be dissapointed. Like I said there is no better pan out there.

Don,
Do you mean ground clearance, if so It's only 1.5 inches deeper. I really dont think you'll have to worry about bottoming out the pan.

This sounds like a really nice pan. Performance Automatic sells good stuff...my experience being with Mustangs. I run sticks in my 'Stangs, but know of several people who are very pleased with PA.

If you're concerned with clearance, then swapping to Ford's 4x4 pan will help. This pan gives you one additional quart of fluid capacity, and using the 4x4 pickup/filter gives you a superior pickup than the stocker. It also comes with a magnetic drain plug. I installed it when I did my TransGo shift kit.
