PRO TORQUE = 12.86@104.03
Trucking Magazine ask me to do a before and after test on my 00 lightning (you should see the results in a couple of months) of a pro torque converter stall speed 2800. Last week we went to the track and tested my truck without the converter and I ran 13.33@102.40 and today with the pro torque installed 12.86@104.03 the sixty foot with the stock converter was 1.91 and the new one was 1.78 I AM VERY HAPPY WITH THIS MOD it is the best one to date. But you must use MT ET STREET or you will not see any results! My pass seat, hitch, spare is on the truck only mods to this truck are listed below.

Geez.. nearly a .5 drop in ET. That is crazy. How much did the convertor run you? Have you noticed a drop in MPG? Did driveability go to waste any?

Jason the converter did not cost me anything because I did the test for trucking magazine but you can call pro torque and ask them I think that the price is $695 thier web site is www.protorque.com and as far of drivability goes there is no problem it's great.

We all know that no two trucks run the same, so I think its only fair to let me try this for free too. I just want to make sure the performance gains are consistant with this new product. I mean I am just trying to help Pro Torque out, its only fair isnt it? Yeah right, I guess I'll be putting this on my "next mods list", which seems to just get longer and longer. My pockets just seem to get emptier and emptier. ( yeah emptier is word )

For all those interested i emailed Pro Torque and this is the reply i got.I am defiantely going to do this mod!
Thank you for inquiring into our company. We are in the final stages of R&D
of our new Lightning Torque converter. Our price for this torque converter,
part #PTC-114R100LT, should be $745.00 + shipping. It is a 10.5" heavy duty
converter built to withstand the abuse of a street/strip application. It is
fully furnace brazed with torrington bearings on all surfaces. The stall
speed is approx. 2400-2800 depending on the input torque. What makes this
torque converter unique is its high rate of torque multiplication and
efficiency. It is a piece we are custom building and should be prepared to
ship in the next couple of weeks. As of this moment all of our testing has
showed between 4-6/10ths off the 1/4 mile ET's
We always like to match the product with the application. Also keep in mind
that stall speed is in direct relation to the amount of input torque. It is
our recommendation to speak to one of our techs in order to determine your
needs. If you have any questions or comments please feel free to e-mail or
call at 631.218.8700. I would be happy to answer any questions that you may
have.
Thank you

BadBolt: All I did was bolt the converter in I did call Danny Swanson to ask him the same
question and he said "No you do not need to change anything" well he was right.
