AIM drop shackle ???'s
This is for those who have installed the AIM drop shackles. I have never done shackles before and I am curious the correct way to install them. Any help would be great.
They did not come with instructions.
Also are they suppose to have grease fitting?
I thought I read that somewhere.
Thanks

As simple as can be
1:jack up truck and set on blocks
2ut jack under the axle until it is just putting a little pressure on it.
3:loosen bolts ,keep playing with jack to make sure there is no pressure on shackles.reinstall new same as old and done
4:If all else fails just take out the two bolts ,rip out the shackles and believe me it is very self explanatory what you need to do when you are trying to reinstall.Just keep a jack handy, you'll be all set.
hint:**becareful which way you put in bolts**
there is no need for grease fittings on a shackle, especially with a poly bushing

Possibly it might.Believe me it is not enough to affect anything..All choo choo customs and mark iii and other companies use this method in lowering. It is an inexspensive ,SAFE way of leveling out a truck.I think the only time you have to worry about angle is with a severe drop over 4 inches.Alot of times it is mainly on ex-cabs that you have to use shims for angle problems with pinion angle. This is mainly on FORDS and mainly on ex cabs.Personally i have never witnessed a problem with a reg cap when the truck was lowered 5 inches or less in rear.
